Khary Payton describes his character as Ezekiel in The Walking Dead

Fans of  The Walking Dead  are more than eager to meet  Ezekiel.
The character is the leader of  The Kingdom  that stands in the comics and that we saw in the trailer for the seventh season that day was presented back at the  Comic-Con in San Diego.  Now the actor who gives life,  Khary Payton  has granted his first interview to  Entertainment Weekly  talking about the character and how it will be in the series of  AMC .
Payton  has developed his career as a voice actor, but was elected as  Ezekiel  by those responsible for  The Walking Dead  and the truth is that he considers something "surreal" all the excitement generated among the fans. How will the TV version of the king of  "Kingdom"  says:
"It's going to be trying not to get lost in their environment. Do not let things depress me. Alegro things around me, if you're around them all will be a party, and even if he had already earlier, will remain when you leave. I also love their relationship with zombies. He is a guy who does not think they have a physical illness. It is more than they have been stripped of joy, if you let me take away the joy could be one of those brainless creatures who walk everywhere. So for him, is a rare philosophy of life that is developing while living in this apocalypse, do not let the world turn you into something you're not. "

Happiness is not something that abound in  The Walking Dead  and hence will surprise Ezequiel both spectators. Payton admits that playing someone like that in a world as reflected in the series is something "surprising."
"First you approach him and think he's a little sick in the head, and indeed it is. But the truth is that everything in this world is also upside down, and if you want to survive in it and do it on your own terms, you need to preach your philosophy and strong do not drown in madness "explains the actor.
As for your pet, the tigress  Shiva, Payton  says he is "very real" but confess that is computer generated, and the scenes in which we see up close will be a robot. The actor has had no problem shooting with a machine or imagining that your pet was next and who says he used to imagine characters thanks to his background as a voice actor. It adds that felt more "Shiva living in my head" during filming.
The seventh season of The Walking Dead will premiere on AMC on 23 October.
