Former Baywatch Nicole Eggert shaved her hair in front of cameras, in the midst of her fight against breast cancer

Two months after revealing to the world that she has breast cancer , Nicole Eggert continues to document her fight against the disease through her social networks . In recent days, the actress showed how she had to cut her hair due to chemotherapy and she proudly showed off her new look.

The star, 52, shared a video of herself shaving her head. At the beginning of the clip, posted to her Instagram account and set to the Beastie Boys song “Fight Your Right,” Eggert smiles at the camera before grabbing a hair clipper. She then begins shaving her head and automatically shows a fast-time clip of the entire process.

The actress's daughter, Keegan, 12, appears in the video to help her mother with the process, especially on the back of her head. Still smiling, Eggert ends the video by stroking her head and sharing photos of her and her little girl hugging and smiling for the camera.

“Perhaps healing is not so much about changing ourselves, but about allowing ourselves to be who we are,” he wrote as an epigraph, quoting the writer Madeleine Eames. Within minutes, the publication was filled with messages of encouragement from other colleagues such as Jennie Garth, Erika Eleniak and Alyssa Milano.

Before shaving completely, the former Baywatch had cut her hair very short in February, a process that she also shared on her social networks. “Stay one step ahead of your fears and you will never be defeated,” Eggert wrote at the time, alongside a video of her haircut. “Thank you to Michelle David for laughing with me and giving me this beautiful new hairstyle when my idea was to cut it completely.”

In early January, People magazine revealed that Eggert was diagnosed with breast cancer , and she explained how her health-related pilgrimage began. It all started in October 2023, when she began to feel severe pain in her left breast. Although she initially assumed that it was a symptom linked to menopause, the situation changed when she palpated the area, and she noticed the presence of a lump.

“It really hurt and I felt a throbbing. Without hesitation I made an appointment with my doctor, and he immediately sent me for a check-up. But the problem was that I couldn't get an appointment, everything was taken. So I had to wait until November to be seen,” he said at that time, making his diagnosis public. Thus, the interpreter underwent a mammogram and three biopsies, and the results showed that she had stage 2 breast cancer.

Looking ahead, the next step in your treatment is to undergo surgery to remove the tumor, and then evaluate whether to start chemotherapy. Later and regarding his care, Eggert detailed: “Now it is a matter of knowing if I can start the treatment before surgery, or if the specialists can carry out the intervention and once that is done, I must begin the treatment.”

Eggert is the mother of two girls, Keegan, 12, and Dilyn, 25, who are her biggest support during this difficult time. The actress became popular thanks to her work in Baywatch. After the death of her father in early 2013, she was one of the stars of Splash , a reality show that aired in the United States. As an actress, Nicole never got to play big roles or be in recognized films, but rather, she focused on television productions.
