Nicolas Cage refused to be Aragorn in The Lord of the Rings Peter Jackson

Actor Nicolas Cage has not one of the most brilliant careers in Hollywood.

At least in recent times. Now we also know that rejected one of the most emblematic fantasy adventure film roles, it comes Aragorn in The Lord of the Rings.

The film career of Nicolas Cage was sharply because of some serious problems with the IRS. Since accepting almost any script that submit to his office to pay off the huge debt he carried. But a few years ago his name had a reputation. So much so that the luxury of saying no to Peter Jackson was allowed when he suggested the possibility of entering tests for Aragorn in The Lord of the Rings saga. A role that eventually launched the acting career definitely Viggo Mortensen, signing a total of three films and putting together one of the most iconic cinematic heroes of recent years.

Nicolas Cage confirmed that he could enjoy films like 'The Lord of the Rings 'because he does not see his own movies. That is the only positive point that takes, and that he said "I do not see my own movies." A habit that will certainly go well for his later works. Apparently Cage left the shooting by the vastness of the shooting, a total of 438 days in New Zealand to form three films in a row. And that was a long time to be away from his family.
