Tom Cruise visited a military garrison in Colombia

The actor was received by soldiers from Jungle Infantry Battalion No. 50 General Luis Acevedo Torres, in the middle of the Amazon jungle.


The American actor Tom Cruise, found these days in Colombia to shoot a movie, visited an Army garrison in the Amazon jungle province, the military said.

             

Cruise was received on Sunday by soldiers from Jungle Infantry Battalion No. 50 General Luis Acevedo Torres, located in Araracuara, a remote village in the middle of the Amazon jungle on the banks of the Caqueta River, the Colombian army said in a statement.

"The actor arrived about noon on Sunday August 23 and was received by the military, which gave a little tour where he was told a little about the history and main activities carried out in the region," said Army .


Cruise, who arrived in the city of Medellin (northwest) on Thursday, is in Colombia on Wednesday to start recording their new film, titled Mena , where he plays  Barry Seal , an American pilot who worked for the Colombian drug trafficker  Pablo Escobar .
