El Cortez Hotel is the center of a series of terrifying events that will enliven  American Horror Story: Hotel , fifth season of FX's anthology, created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.

Built in 1930 by the charming but insane James March (Evan Peters), the art deco hotel is a labyrinthine structure March raised to hide their murderous activities. El Cortez is full of blind alleys and secret rooms.

Currently, the owner of Cortez is the Countess Elizabeth (Lady Gaga), a glamorous society woman attending art exhibitions, fashion shows and is held with a drink human blood based diet. This habit, Ryan Murphy said that the character of the singer practiced vampirism, but a victim of the old 'blood virus'.

"It's really a form of hemophilias, in a way," he said.

The Countess is insatiable when it comes to love and sex, so it ends up involved in a grim love triangle with Donovan (Matt Bomer), who has his own bloodlust, and Tristan model (Finn Wittrock).
