Mexico, May 2 (EFE) .- Enrique Peña Nieto, who presided over Mexico between 2012 and 2018, announced on Thursday that he has concluded the divorce process with telenovela actress Angélica Rivera, known as La Gaviota, whom she thanked for her company and I wish you success.
"Today our marriage has legally concluded, I wish it to go well always and to be successful in everything I undertake," the exmandatario said in a text posted on his Instagram account.
He thanked the first lady for having been his "companion, wife and friend for more than ten years and for having given his love, time and dedication to our family."
"Angelica, thank you very much for everything," Peña Nieto concluded in the text written on a sober white background.
Peña Nieto separated from Angélica Rivera, after leaving the Presidency of Mexico in the hands of Andrés Manuel López Obrador on December 1 of last year.
But the rupture of the couple was not made public until February, when the former president was seen in Madrid walking with the model Tania Ruiz.
