Microsoft and Google agree to withdraw complaints against the other

Microsoft Corp and Google, a unit of Alphabet Inc. reached an agreement to withdraw all allegations of regulatory issues that were filed against the other, the companies said Reuters.

"Microsoft is committed to withdrawing its regulatory complaints against Google, reflecting our changing legal priorities. We will continue to focus on business and compete strongly for customers," a Microsoft spokesman in an email.

Google, in another email, said both companies want to compete based on the merits of their products and not "legal procedures".

The companies agreed in September to close all patent infringement litigation, solving 18 cases in the United States and Germany.

"After our patent agreement now agreed to withdraw complaints against regulation," Google said Friday.

Google's rivals had contacted US regulators claiming that the internet services company unfairly uses its Android system to make online advertising, they told Reuters last year

people with knowledge of the case.

The European Commission also accused Google last year of distorting the results of Internet searches to favor its shopping service, harming both rivals and consumers.

Lego fans pay tribute this weekend to the writer Miguel de Cervantes in the fourth centenary of his death with an exhibition at the Madrid Railway Museum depicting scenes of his life and episodes of The Quixote.

The exhibition of more than 420,000 pieces, is part of ALEBRICKS! 2016, the seventh annual meeting of fans of Lego constructions in Spain, as noted by the Railway Museum in a press release.

It has been reproduced scenes of the life of Cervantes, as his birthplace in Alcalá de Henares, the press of Juan de la Cuesta in Madrid -in which published The Quixote, or the Marquesa galley, on board which the writer went to participate in the Battle of Lepanto.

They have also represented through pieces of Lego several episodes of Don Quixote with its leading characters: one manchega sale, the encounter with the windmills or the government of the Insula Barataria Sancho.

Duchovny, on his jump to music: I'm not good guitarist and never will be

Only 6 years ago David Duchovny did not know how to play the guitar, which has not prevented this actor known for his starring roles as agent Fox Mulder on "X-Files" or as sex addict in " Californication, "has decided to jump to the music with a first album to be presented in May in Spain.

"I myself was surprised at this turn. As an actor, long escapes into the expectations of the movie sets, so I learned to play the guitar. But I know I'm not a good guitar player and never will be," He acknowledged in a telephone interview with Efe, the American interpreter, who at 55 considers that "success in this case meant to make own songs and they may like to other people."

Surrounded by a band "of very talented people," Duchovny (New York, 1955) will perform on May 14 at the Barts room Barcelona and a day later in Madrid Joy Eslava to present "Hell or highwater" (Think Say Records ), their debut album, whose title besides the name of one of the-single-would mean in Spanish something like "Against all odds".

"Many of the songs refer to cope with difficulties and have to do with perseverance," says the actor, a graduate of Princeton University and graduate in a Masters of English Literature at Yale University, who left the Ph.D. to pursue acting.

In his career, he has already faced some of those adversities. In the 90s, for example, the television series were not the prestigious format that is today and he helped build these bases thanks to his work on "X-Files", regardless of being labeled as an actor on the small screen.

"People tend to label things and lock people into watertight compartments," he said when asked about the likely cynicism from which many now see this jump to music.

It does not give more importance to the issue and assumes the situation in a pragmatic manner. "My music is an expression of myself. I do not care how it is received or if it comes into lists. I'm sure a lot of people who come to one of my concerts it does to see the actor playing (it is the nature of this business) but maybe next time do it for the music, "he says.

Follower of REM and Wilco, notes that while music and interpretation seem "different experiences", "both deal with the emotion" and that's what attracts you to each project, be it a song, a movie or series.

Very recently, in fact, he returned to get under the skin of dedicated FBI agent Fox Mulder paranormal cases, ten years after the premiere of the last film of the saga.

USA iPhone access linked to drug trafficking case without the help of Apple

United States Department of Justice announced that it has gained access on their own an iPhone phone linked to a drug trafficking case and thus leaving the issue by trying to get Apple will help unlock the device.

The US Justice filed a brief before a judge in Brooklyn (New York) that had Efe access and where informed that removes the court petition because "no longer needs the help of Apple" to be achieved by other means password phone access.

"Yesterday afternoon, an individual provided the password for the iPhone in question in this case. The government introduced the key and gained access to the iPhone. Therefore, the government no longer needs the help of Apple and withdraws its application," he said delivered today written to the judge.

So far, the US government required through the Apple Justice facilitate unlocking the phone, what the company apple bite refused.

In late March, the government ended another high-profile legal battle with Apple to gain access on their own the phone used by the author of a shooting in the Californian city of San Bernardino last December, in which 14 people were killed and it is investigated as terrorism.

The method used to access the iPhone San Bernardino, however, does not work on other models like the Brooklyn case.

Last February, another New York judge refused to force Apple to unlock the phone, a decision was appealed by the authorities.

The main accused in that case of New York, Jung Feng, was arrested in the district of Queens on June 11, 2014 by conspiring with four others to smuggle methamphetamines.

In the police inquiries the authorities seized several items, including an iPhone 5s, and investigations resulted a year later in the request to be allowed to recover information from that and other mobile phones.

Jumanji, Ghostbusters: these reboots coming out soon

Some will say that Hollywood now sorely lack of ideas, others think rather that it is the nostalgia sells. In all cases, reboots have the studio side of the coast and the projects are linked at incredible speed.

If this year we will discover such a new version of Ghostbusters (with a cast 100% female) or The Magnificent Seven with Chris Pratt are also expected in the months to come full of reboots rather daring. We think, for example Jumanji which will swap the invincible Robin Williams against Dwayne Johnson or to Tomb Raider could highlight the brunette beauty of Star Wars , Daisy Ridley. Focus on reboots we ever vigilant.

Ghostbusters:
Cinema on August 10, Ghostbusters reboot is expected probably more. Already because it is directed by Paul Feig, always absolutely hilarious, but also because this time the cast is 100% female.

Jumanji:
Difficult to take in stride the release of a new version of Jumanji, as we love the one with Robin Williams. However, the project is well underway and is Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart should it give the reply.

Charlie's Angels:

And yes, the three Angels will also rise from the ashes. If we do not yet know who will star in this remake is known however that will be the achievement side orders: Elizabeth Banks!

Dirty Dancing:
After Grease is obviously the turn of Dirty Dancing to qualify for a new version. It is the young Abigail Breslin will lend his features to Bebe. But now, the project is more a feature than a TV movie for the cinema but still we follow the case very closely. It does not leave Baby in a corner!

The Mummy :
And yes, The Mummy also will be born again in our cinemas. And this is Tom Cruise who has the lead role, alongside a small Frenchy recently spotted in Kingsman: Sofia Boutella.

7 Mercenaries:

Another cult film remake, this time with Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt headlining. It will be released in theaters on September 28.

Tomb Raider :
The famous Lara Croft goes out to his legendary braid and micro shorts for a highly anticipated reboot. It is even rumoured that Daisy Ridley alias Rey Star Wars is the favorite for the title role.

Power Rangers:
Hard to believe and yet the Power Rangers will also make their comeback to the movies. And here's a first photo Elizabeth Banks, who will play Rita Repulsa, the "big bad".

Do we have become fools social networks?

How your brain reacts to the use of social networks (good and bad)

About ten years ago that social networks came into our lives and experts in neurology, at this time and have been able to modify our brain.

But how? For better or worse? According to the conclusions of the meeting 'Networks III', organized by the biomedical company Pfizer, the use of social networking has many positive effects on the brain; from the development of new brain connections to the creation of new learning methods.

In fact, the brain seems to be able to create new neural networks while browsing Facebook, Twitter or Youtube among others. This means that the brain has enough flexibility to adapt to such new challenges.

However, that can cause addiction is a major disadvantage.

Experts say that social networks and new technologies can lead to addiction because of the brain 's processing of social networks takes place in the circuits associated with rewards and controlled use could be associated with some psychiatric disorders such as addictions.

"We have found that the n ative digital learning in a slightly different way to those who are not. On the one hand, are able to do several tasks at once with better results and, on the other are faster seeking information to answer specific questions , " explains Dr. Pedro Bermejo, neurologist and president of the Spanish Association of Neuroeconomics.
