Ghost of Tsushima just debuted on Steam and became the latest PlayStation exclusive to come to PC . We know that its debut on the Valve platform was a success, as it is already the 4th best launch on Sony for computers .
However, the title was not spared from criticism, as it suffered review bombing due to a recent controversy that angered PC players. Steam users took advantage of the reviews to attack Sony for a decision that also affected Helldivers 2 .
Ghost of Tsushima is the target of review bombing for account linking
Sony wants players to link a PlayStation Network account with a Steam account to enjoy its releases on PC. This generated a scandal in the case of Helldivers 2 , to the extent that the company had to reverse its decision.
Enjoying Ghost of Tsushima 's campaign doesn't necessarily require account linking; However, the situation is different with Legends, the multiplayer component. This again angered players, mainly since this requirement caused the game to initially not be sold in 170 countries .
Due to this, the community did not hesitate to review bombing on Steam to send a message to Sony and express its discontent with the linking of accounts in Ghost of Tsushima and in future games of the brand.
“Good game, unfortunately Sony wants you to link the PSN account for multiplayer” and “I would like to leave a positive review for this great game, but due to recent Sony dramas and the removal of this game from many countries, I can't I can leave a positive review about the game”, are some of the reviews that can be read on Steam.
In the last few hours, the title has been put on sale in the countries where it did not debut. For this reason, its reviews gradually change to positive on Steam. However, there are still players upset about the requirement for account linking.
