Mary Poppins production begins with the first synopsis

Comes the first synopsis of the film 'Mary Poppins'. Disney classic that will billboards in the coming Christmas. With a cast led by Emily Blunt and Colin Firth.

Production begins the new version of  Mary Poppins . The sequel to Disney comes after the success of 1964. Established in the 1930s depression - era London (the time period of the original novels), Mary Poppins is based on the abundance of material in the seven additional books PL Travers. In the story, Michael (Whishaw) and Jane (Mortimer) have grown up with Michael, his three sons and his housekeeper, Ellen (Walters), living in Cherry Tree Lane. 

After Michael suffered a personal loss, the enigmatic nanny Mary Poppins (Blunt) reenters the lives of the Banks family and, together with the lamplighter optimistic street Jack (Miranda), uses his unique magical abilities to help the family to rediscover in their lives. Mary Poppins also introduces children to a new assortment of colorful and whimsical characters, including his eccentric cousin, Topsy (Streep). 

The theatrical release of 'Mary Poppins' is planned for next Christmas. A target date Disney for years. Now it will be no different.
