Sean Penn withdraws million-dollar lawsuit against Lee Daniels

US actor Sean Penn decided to withdraw the million dollar defamation lawsuit filed last year against Lee Daniels after the filmmaker has apologized and has contributed a financial donation to the charity organization J / P Haitian Relief.


 
Daniels himself has made that apology, which you can read today public: "I'm sorry I hurt you, Sean, I apologize and I take back my imprudent words about you."
 
"I was inconsiderate. You're someone I consider a friend, a brilliant actor, a great humanitarian and a true Hollywood legend," said the filmmaker.
 
Penn has willingly accepted response Daniels, who considers "sincere" and "felt".  "I also accept and appreciate your generous contribution to J / P Haitian Relief Organization (created by Penn itself), it will have a transformative effect on the lives of those we serve in Haiti , "said the interpreter.
 
Penn filed the lawsuit in the Supreme Court of New York in September 2015, which claimed 10 million to Daniels for comments in which he accused the actor mistreatment of women.
