'Game of Thrones' could have only 13 episodes
With the premiere of the sixth season of Game of Thrones just around the corner, the team of the hit HBO series has already begun thinking about the stretch and how long and episodes need to put the finishing touch to adaptation of the literary work of George RR Martin. Nevertheless
In an exclusive interview with Variety, the 'showrunners' David Benioff and DB Weiss they explained that still thinking of doing two more seasons of the series, which would mean a total of eight, as had been advanced earlier. However, both deliveries may not consist of 10 episodes, like the previous six, but be shorter. In fact, the team is considering making only 13 more episodes, a seventh season of seven chapters and an eighth of six.
I think we head towards our last 13 episodes after this season. We headed to our final lap. That's what it is supposed, although nothing is set in stone, is where we are looking at , "said Benioff.
However, sources close to the series that manages Variety clarified shortly after those numbers as accurate could have been announced so too premature, given that the 'showrunner's are beginning to chart their plans.
