After his early and sudden death in January 2008, now eight years ago, the Australian actor left a number of memorable roles under his belt from which the Joker always remember Nolan.
He was only 20 when he played Patrick Verona in "10 Things I Hate About You" and I saw it for the first time. It was the typical bad boy at school and sexy in this film but only to later prove he could be tender and romantic if things took an unexpected turn.
Ledger moved away from roles in romantic comedies, dramas and war movies to step into the shoes of the famous and disturbing villain to Gotham faced for the second Batman film Nolan.
Change the smiles of charming guy trying to learn French to win a girl in high school, her makeup and feel the madness behind that wicked smile of a little crazy criminal, made this step for the actor was not one either.
After his death the words of those who worked alongside him, the Nolan himself and his relatives were heard, and thanks to the German documentary Too Young to Die (2012) unveiled a gem and memory of this great role in what was his acting career: his diary as the Joker.
Those who saw in The Dark Knight surprised us with a maddeningly excellent performance, and this was the role that many showed us the potential of this actor, and even it was Heath Ledger this whole "achievement unlocked" very hard in the middle.
