Gloria Estefan on Syrian refugees: "There are ways to help"

Gloria Estefan , who was recently awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, expressed concern about Syrian refugees. In an interview with Stephen Colbert in the program  The Late Show , the singer confessed that the subject finds it somewhat emotional.

The issue of Syrian refugees has taken stir following the terrorist attacks in Paris on November 13. Colbert Estefan took the opportunity to ask what he thought about the debate.

"I have an emotional reaction, but also have a human reaction," said the singer. "We all have to be careful, obviously, we are living in very dangerous times. There are ways to help. Women and children, perhaps. If we help mothers and children, obviously, we had to be careful how we move them, "said Gloria Estefan.

Gloria Estefan also spoke about the Holocaust and how Cuba and the United States acted in that period.  "We have to do it the right way," said the star of music.
