Adele sells 2.3 mi copies of the album '25' in three days in the US



In just three days, Adele managed to sell in the United States 2.3 million copies of her album "25", a number that will likely enable you to overcome the best debut sales of this century, said on Monday (23) the company Nielsen Music. 


The album, released last Friday, immediately became one of the biggest hits of recent years and has sold over half a million copies in the UK. In the US, "25" is the second album selling more than two million units in a week since Nielsen Music began tracking the data in 1991, according to today indicated the consulting firm. 

According to their forecasts at the end of Monday the album is already getting the top spot, surpassing the 2.4 million "No Strings Attached" from N'Sync, in 2000. In the first week, analysts expect Adele can reaching 2.9 million copies, an unprecedented number in a music industry that saw its sales fall considerably since the spread of the internet. The single "Hello", a preview of this third album the artist, sold 2.5 million copies since it was released in the US. 

For now, "25" is not available on streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music, following the recently established trend by other big stars like American Taylor Swift.
