ABC is developing a sequel series from My Best Friend's Wedding

My Best Friend's Wedding, romantic comedy  Julia Roberts starred in 1997 will have a sequel in the form of series, which is already developing the chain  ABC.
The chain has announced to be working on a new comedy that will serve as a sequel to the famous film and it will be written by   Oscar winner Ron Bass  (Rain Man) already authored the screenplay for the film. Bass written by the series  Jessica Catkin (Sonny With a Chance) and will executive produce with  Janet Zucker and Jerry Zucker , who produced the film. Besides the actor   Adam Sandle r also be part of the team of producers.
In the film  Julianne (played by Roberts)  secretly trying to sabotage the wedding of his old friend and lifelong love  George (Dermot Mulroney),  his girlfriend (Cameron Diaz) and did not consider it to be enough for him.
My Best Friend's Wedding is the last of the "remakes" that have been announced by a television network. The own  ABC  also developing a new version of the series  Fantasy Island  while  CBS develops remakes of   Nancy Drew, MacGyver, Training Day  and the work of  HG Wells The Island of Dr. Moreau ,  Fox  is the "remake" of  Behind enemy lines;  The CW  prepares series from The Notebook and Friday 13; NBC  is developing a remake of the 80 series  Hart to Hart; and 20th Century Fox Television  is working on the remake of  The A-Team,  while  Norman Lear prepares remake of  One Day at a Time. We can not forget that in addition to Fox works in the "rebirth" of  X-Files and Prison Break  revive after last year to  24 .
