Richard Gere attended this weekend at the festival in Karlovy Vary , in the presentation of his next film, ' Time out of Mind '.
In this film the actor plays the role of a homeless man , and wanted to involve the audience their experiences and anecdotes during the shooting of the film, made with hidden cameras .
Richard Gere acknowledged that it was a very enriching experience and that helped him learn even more how people act when they encounter a homeless on the streets of New York. The most significant fact undoubtedly is that none of the passersby recognised him . In his own words: "I gave money but never looked me in the eye" .
The actor also wanted to comment that loves to play complicated roles or that fall outside the standard pattern, feeling more comfortable when there are certain emotional ties to the characters or the story . Of course, when asked about what had been his most difficult role to date, the answer was clear: to be the father of her teenage son .
