British actress Emma Watson (Paris, 1990) has now been Alejandro Amenabar Madrid tucking the presentation before the cameras of "regression" around the psychological thriller from Oscar-winning author of "The Sea Inside". The sixth feature film by director and screenwriter Madrid be the opening film of the 63rd edition of the San Sebastián International Film Festival, which begins on 18 September, and soon after, on October 2, will hit theaters.
Set in Minnesota (USA) in the 90s, "regression" tells the story of detective Bruce Kenner (Ethan Hawke), who is investigating the case of the mysterious Angela (Emma Watson), a young woman who accuses her father of a terrible crime.
The film was shot in Canada, in English, with a budget of 20 million dollars and is inspired by a wave of strange events in the US in the 80s.
