Andrew explains how Lincoln became the protagonist of The Walking Dead

Andrew Lincoln is one of the best known actors worldwide television for his role of  Rick Grimes  in  The Walking Dead .
But five years ago was a British actor who had worked mainly on the big screen and that was not even dreamed of getting the role it has certainly marked and will mark his career.

Lincoln  did  the screen test with The Walking Dead Jon Bernthal.  The scene I had to do was the car, where Rick is seriously injured. At that time, Lincoln was determined to give his best, but his concentration was broken by a strange sound like the engine of a car.
"We looked around and realized that one of the dogs Jon had fallen asleep and snoring in the middle of my shot. I was thinking, 'I'll never get this job,' "he confessed.
However, after finishing the test not only he thought "really was a great shot," but it was one of those moments in which "really clicked." Shortly thereafter,  AMC  called him to his home in England, and was offered the role of Rick Grimes, while Sarah Wayne Callies joined to give life to Lori , his wife in fiction.
"Apparently he was on the radar Frank (Darabont) and he wanted me to do the test. That was unbelievable, "said  Andrew Lincoln.
Andrew Lincoln  got into the skin of  Rick Grimes  in April 2010 and in October of that year he released  The Walking Dead,  since become a television celebrity and the protagonsita of the most-watched series.
