The biggest shopping center - around the UASD

The Autonomous University of Santo (UASD), founded on October 28, 1538, considered the oldest colonial settlement in the New World, and the colonial headquarters of colonisation This higher learning as   any human endeavour from its origins to today has had to deal with a number of difficulties such as occurred on 23 February   1586 when Francis Drake destroyed the archives of the university,   as well as when it was forced to close its doors on August 24, 1801 due to the French occupation, among other things.

Today the Primate of America is going through a nasty problem, construction of its surroundings due to informal trade that the large flow of students and teachers who travel daily on the area many parents have seen a good opportunity to establish their business there , which has resulted in the whole university environment reigns chaos and disorder, then the first thing you glimpse the eyes of any mortal to circulate around the place is a sea of garbage and that contrasts with the kiosks and the tired old faces and yet full of hope for traders established in the place.

To this other business that do not contribute anything useful to students attending college for the bread of education are also added; unlike all they do it is encourage him to alcoholism, as many often seen at any time of day parked at grocery stores issuing alcoholic beverages. Carrying a glass of alcohol in their hands, listening to loud music and shouting so loudly which undoubtedly distracted these objectives they pursue.Importantly, on more than one occasion these establishments have been closed and after a while have returned to operate normally.

The authorities of the academic campus have not made the effort to eradicate this situation which can become somewhat difficult for them if we consider that on one hand the aesthetics of the environment and on the other we have the human side as it is here where Parents of national family and some of Haitian origin are a source of secure employment, and also the students are supplied daily with the goods being offered by merchants, so it will be appropriate to develop a good plan that can beautify college environment and to put a definitive businesses that do nothing in order, but also must find a solution that does not deteriorate the quality of life of those who come here their only livelihood further.

The Puerto Rican newspaper Primera Hora, in its print edition, published as the main news that due to economic growth in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Ricans are looking to Quisqueya, as a possible destination for emigrating.

The situation has changed dramatically. Increasingly fewer Dominicans who reach the coast of the island and the Puerto Ricans are now looking to the Dominican Republic as a destination for new life and economic progress.

The reason for this change is simple, while Puerto Rico has spent nearly a decade in a brutal recession the neighbouring island grows economically rapidly. Deputy Administrator of the Consulate of Dominican Republic in Puerto Rico, Golfris Tatis told Primera Hora that applications for residence Puerto Ricans who want to go and live in Quisqueya have increased dramatically.

Why human kiss?

If you think about it, you could conclude that kissing is strange, even repulsive.
You swap spit with someone, sometimes for an extended period.
In addition,  a kiss can transfer up to 800 million bacteria , not all good for health.
Still, surely everyone remembers their first kiss with great detail, whether shameful or pleasurable.
And the practice continues to play an important role in any new romance.
At least it is so in most societies.

Less than half

Perhaps in the West can consider romantically kissing is a universal behavior, but  a recently published study suggests that less than half of the world's cultures practice it .
In addition,  it is extremely rare in the animal kingdom . So, what is behind this behavior?
If it does the job, why do not all humans and animals?
According to a new study conducted in 168 cultures,  only 46% of societies practice kissing as a romantic gesture.
Previous research had estimated was common in 90% of the world's cultures . But this new study excluded kisses between parents and children and focused only on the romantic kiss, couples are given on the lips.
After analysing the hunter-gatherer societies, the researchers found no evidence that its members kiss, or who have desires to do so.
Some even consider it disgusting.

Inhaling the soul

According to reports, for the tribe of Brazil Mehinaku called romantic kiss is intolerable.
And since these societies is the closest to the lifestyle of our ancestors, they are likely not to kiss.
Therefore, the study dismisses the belief that romantically kissing is a universal behavior, said William Jankowiak, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, United States.
More like a product of Western societies,  a practice that went from generation to generation , he adds.
And there is historical evidence to support this theory.
Kissing as is done today seems a fairly new invention , said Rafael Wlodarski of college of Oxford, UK.
The expert has spent years looking for evidence of how it has changed the practice. The oldest evidence found in Sanskrit texts of more than 3,500 years.
These described the kiss as  the action of inhaling the soul of another .
These described the kiss as  the action of inhaling the soul of another .
Kissing is a way to get close enough to sniff the genes of potential partner "According to experts ... (Getty)
He also discovered that  Egyptian hieroglyphics depict human figures near each other, but not with lips stuck .
So what is the natural kiss to our culture but others have suppressed? Or an invention of modern man?

Tracks in the nature

The behavior of animals can give an idea about it.
The closest human relatives, the chimpanzees and bonobos, also known as pygmy chimpanzees kiss .
The primatologist Frans de Wall, of Emory University in Atlanta, USA, has seen it more than once. It has been observed chimpanzees kiss and hug after a fight.
Therefore, for this practice, more common among males from females, it is a way to reconcile . In other words,  it is not a romantic behavior .
