Documentary on YouTube shows the real selling roses and heartrending interview with Zarco

The real selling roses Monica Rodriguez and Lady Tabares, who ended up doing the lead role.
Of the almost unknown 90-minute documentary entitled Putting to act birds, directed by Colombian-Swiss director Erwin Goggel and includes interviews with the actors of The Rose Seller (1998) Victor Gaviria, as you can see on YouTube.

This thanks to a user of that network identified as  sanmont11 , who under the vague title of "Behind the Scenes" has already published four segments mentioned documentary. The first hung last June 24, 2013, the following two 26 and the fourth video 28. Will publishes what is missing?

How do birds put an audiovisual piece is little known to the public; hence its appearance on YouTube becomes news. I learned this through the portal Kien & Ke  , who review on a very short notice without going into further details.

Harrowing accounts

Lady Tabares, Marta Correa and Mileider Gil (Andrea gaga).
Revealing and unsettling documentary Goggel (producer of The Rose Seller) consists of a series of interviews with a number of children and young people involved as natural actors in the acclaimed film by Victor Gaviria. Many of them are dead or in prison. Domestic violence, drug use and his particular vision of God, among others, are part of their testimonies.

Among them is the Lady Tabares, the star of the film, who today is serving a sentence of 26 years for theft and murder. Marta Correa also speaks (Judy), one of the few cast members who did not have a tragic ending, she says Wikipedia  .

In the second video the speaker's own Monica Rodriguez, the real selling roses, ensures sanmont11 in the comments section. She was to be the star of the film, but was murdered by a bullet before filming began. I believe, unequivocally, that is the only known video of it.

Giovanni Quiroz, the Zarco, was killed by a bullet as his character.
One of the most harrowing testimony is that of Giovanni Quiroz, the Zarco, who appears in the third video. "I do not deny I'm a thief, I stole a lot here," he confessed on camera. "I got milk those eyes," he says later, referring to the fight he had with another man. A year and a half after the release of the film was fatally gunned down.

Fifteen years after the salesman of roses, the reality for many children and young people of Medellin is not very different.

Update June 2015: the YouTube channel of  sanmont11 no longer exists, but I found some videos that look the same, like the full documentary to act Putting birds.
